Guest designer over at Frilly and Funkie challenge blog

Hello,
I'm so honored for being invited to be a guest designer over at Frilly and Funkie challenge blog.
The theme is "Timeworn", so I made a wall hanging with some rust, "crackled leather" and vintage look.

My wall hanging measures about 5" x 7".
I started off with a cardboard background which I painted with a wash (paint and color) of Deco art media fluid in Paynes grey and added some salt to get som interest. After that I stamped the background with a Stampendous stamp, Andy Skinner's Industrial. (Crackle pattern). Then I dry brushed the edges with Deco art media fluid in Quinacridone gold to get that rusty effect. I wanted it to look like an old rusty metal wall. I also made some holes in the background and drybrushed the edges of the holes.
The clock is a die from Sizzix, Tim Holtz, which I treated with Deco art texture sand, and then used Andy Skinner's rust technique. (Instructions are available on Deco art's website.)

The Tim Holtz Quote chip (winter wonderland) and the Flashcard (winter) are treated with Distress collage medium vintage, than when dry, with Distress collage crazing. On top of that some Distress crayon in Vintage photo. The small words "My skates" are Tim Holtz label letters with som Distress ink in Walnut stain, for an aged look.
The hinge is a diecut from a Sizzix Tim Holtz die, in grungeboard, also treated with Andy's rust technique, but without the texture sandpaste, and fastened with Tim Holtz mini fasteners.

The "ice" word is diecut in chipboard with a die from Sizzix, Tim Holtz "Wordplay" . Then painted with Weathered wood Distress pant, stamped over with a text stamp with Archival ink, and then used Distress crayon in Rusty hinge on the edges.

The skates are also a diecut in chipboard from Sizzix, Tim Holtz, movers and shapers skate die. Painted with white acrylic paint, after that treated with Distress collage medium "crazing", then some Distress crayon in Vintage photo. The skids are painted with Distress paint, Brushed pewter, and then Deco art Quinacridone gold.

Thank you so much for visiting!

Have a nice day,

Pumpkin card

Happy halloween!

My last Halloween card for the season. I had the idea of making a monochrome card " with a twist". As you understand, the twist is the orange colour. I have used Tim Holtz products when I made this card. The pumpkinhead stamps, and a text stamp from one of his Halloween sets. I used the text stamp on the orange Coredinations paper layer to make some more interest. On the background I used one of his embossingfolders, the one that looks as a tree branch. Put on some Distress Oxide black soot and also some Distress Crayons. To finish the background I splattered some Distress paint in Spiced marmalade and Black soot.
I diecut the "Ornate frame 2" die in chipboard and put on some Grit paste. After that I used Distress spray stains in Spiced marmalade and Black soot. Finished it off with a touch of Crayons.
Coloured som cheese cloth with spray stain.

Here you can see a close-up on the frame and the background. I have also used a spider from Tim's ideaology line.

I placed a paper doll on the pumpkin head.

I used an older die to cut out 31, and I put a Clippings sticker on the cheese cloth.

I hope you all will have a Happy halloween.

Another Halloween tag

Here comes another tag with lots of Tim Holtz products, such as Distress Oxide's, stamps, stencils, texture paste, Distress crayons, dies and Grit paste.
For the background of this tag I have used Distress Oxide in Black soot, and then stamped with a Halloween text stamp with Archival ink. I have put some Grit paste round the edges and afterwards some Distress crayons.
I used my Claw dies on the tag and put another tag behind with a skull stamp, which I have embossed with black embossingpowder.

Ö

The word "wicked" is texture paste through a stencil, then coloured with Distress Oxide and stamped with the same text stamp and Archival ink.
The Pumpkinhead is one of Tim's new stamp sets. I love them. I have coloured it with Distress Oxide's.
"31" is also texture paste, Distress Oxide and at last Picked fence Distress crayon.

The small pumpkin is the Pumpkinhead stamped on shrink plastic, coloured with alcohol pens and then shrunk. A cute little piece. ;)

I finished the tag off with a Distress stain and Distress ink coloured bow and some Clippings stickers.

Have a nice day!

Not long to Halloween now!

Halloween tag

I have made this Halloween tag with lots of Tim Holtz products, such as Distress Oxide's, dies, stencils, stamps and tape.

The background is made with Distress Oxide in black soot. And stamped with a TH halloween text stamp with Arcival ink. The Halloween word is made with texture paste on a TH stencil, and than coloured with Distress Oxide and also stamped with a text stamp with Arcival ink. The houses are diecut from a Distress Oxide colored piece of Mixed media heavystock. The spooky children are diecut from black cardstock and then I put on some Glossy accent.

The spider is also made with texture paste and a stencil, then coloured with DO.

I will try this tag in a challenge over at That's crafty challenge - Get your spook on

Halloween card

Welcome to my blog!

I have made this card with lot's of Tim Holtz products. I started off and painted the stamps, "Pumpkinheads" from Stampers anonymous - Tim Holtz, with Distress ink's. I used Coredinations Kraft-cardstock on the frame and also inside for the red "drip edge". Then I stamped a piece of patterned paper from the "Dapper" stack with the cobweb stamp from my new stampset "Skulls & Cobweb". After that i put some black texture paste from Deco-Art through a stencil to get the Halloween word on the side of the "window".
For the piece in the middle I have used Mixed media heavystock as a base, used my Claw die, put on some grit paste round the edges to get that textured surface. Then put on some Distress Oxide in Black soot, Distress spray stain in Black soot and Spiced marmalade. Finished it off with Distress crayon in Rusty hinge on the grit paste.
The spiderweb is a diecut from one of Tim's mixed media set dies, made in Mixed media heavystock with Distrss Oxide in Black soot on.
I embossed the spider stamp with black embossingpowder.
Inside the card I have used a skull stamp treated with collage medium crazing, after that I put on some Distress crayons in Antique linen and Walnut stain. The background is the Skull stamp from the previous used stamp set embossed in gold.
I also decorated my project with some Idea-ology pieces.

Wicked card

I have made this Hallowen card with a lot of Tim Holtz products. Started with the Coredinations kraft cardstock, then a piece of patterned paper from the "Dapper" stack. I used the cobweb stamp from the new stampset "Skulls & cobweb" as a background on the patterned paper. The pumpkins are from the new stampset "Pumkinheads" and they are painted with Distress Oxide's. Love these pumpkin stamps! I also used my new die, the word Wicked. So nice font! I made the spider to the left with a TH stencil and some texture paste, and when dry I put som Distress oxide on it. The spider to the right are from the new Ideaology. Finally I splattered the background with some black paint.
Eventhough we don't celebrate Halloween in a big manner here in Sweden, I love to make Halloween projects. ;)

Crazy dog card

Here I have made a card with a background inspired by the talented Kath Stewart. I saw this technique in Craft stamper magazine a while ago.
I have used my Distress oxide's both for the background and also for colouring my stamp.
Love this dog stamp from Tim Holtz, crazy dogs.
Fot the background I have used stencils and different stamps, and I also wanted to add some extra texture, so I embossed it with one of Sizzix Tim Holtz embossingfolders.
I have used som metallic tape on the pieces the dog are standing on. These pieces are also painted with Deco art acrylic paint and embossed with the same embossingfolder.

I want to try this card over at Stamps & stencils, Metallics challenge.

Sue's birthday card

It's been a while since I put up something on my blog, but now it's time to share some of my latest creations. This is a card I made this summer for a friend who turned 50.
The stamp is from Kenny K and are painted with Distress ink's and reinkers. I have used dies from Sizzix Tim Holtz, Spellbinders Seth Apter and Magnolia. Sue liked her card very much and thought I have captured her "personality" well, which made me happy ;)

Collect beautiful moments card

I liked the techniques so much on my last project so I wanted to give it another try. This time I made a card, used my Distress Oxide's for the background. On this one I used two Tim Holtz stencils, one for the background but it's difficult to see, with circles. And one with the numbers. On the cogs in the right corner I used a Tim Holtz die and made myself a stencil (I cut it out in paper and used that die cut as a stencil) for the grit paste, and then put Distress crayon's above. I finished the card off with some words (Tim Holtz), and the dies used are from Sizzix (Tim Holtz).
Close-ups;

I will try this card in two challenges:

Last year's birthday card for my brother

Last year I made a special birthday card for my brother. I made a card that looks like a garage. He works at a car company and he also compete in miniracing, so I think it is a suitable design. He is born on the 15:th of December and he likes Coca Cola. When the doors opens there is a stamp image from Kenny K, Racy Roxie and one from Tim Holtz, the car.
I have used some techniques from Andy Skinner on the doors.

Some close ups;

Thanks for looking, and have a nice day.

My Father's birthday card

Hello,

I have made this birthday card for my Father who´s birthday is on June 7:th. I struggled a little bit with some ideas on this card but got som help from my husband. He suggested to use some jeans/denim fabric and I think that did the final touch of the card.
My Father likes Western movies and also jeans and boots.
I have used some of Tim Holtz techniques on this card and I have also used the new Distress Oxide´s which I like a lot. The stamp are from Kenny K, Cheyenne. I have coloured her with Distress reinker´s and Distress ink´s.

Here are some close-up photo´s:
